The WVU Center for Resilient Communities invites you to join a Spring Reading Group on the newly published book, Weaving a Fabric of Unity: Conversations on Education and Development, by Haleh Arbab, Gustavo Correa, and Bradley Wilson. This timely and insightful book explores how collaborative, participatory approaches can foster unity across diverse communities, highlighting the transformative potential of community-based research to empower individuals and groups to co-create solutions to shared challenges. Drawing on experiences in the field, particularly five decades of stories and learning from FUNDAEC (the Foundation for the Application and Teaching of Science), they discuss how action research can bridge divides, build trust, and create lasting change.
On April 24th, this reading group will culminate with an “Author meets Reader” event, welcoming the authors to the West Virginia University campus – details for which are forthcoming!
