The WVU Center for Resilient Communities announces the Community Engaged Research Fund it's first annual award program to support junior scholars / graduate student researchers in any discipline at West Virginia University who are committed to advancing participatory research and publicly engaged scholarship. The Community Engaged Research Fund ( Apply Here) provides scholarly enrichment awards up to $1000 to support fieldwork, planning, travel, outreach, materials expenses, and other costs associated with advancing a community engaged research project.
We strongly encourage applications from scholars of color, women, and other under-represented groups in higher education.
Applicants must submit a well crafted research proposal, personal statement and budget brief by Friday February 16 @ 5:00pm. Elements required for the 2-3 page PDF package are included in the application form here. Recipients of awards will also be eligible and encouraged to attend summer institute workshops in May and August.
